Premium Savings Account
This account is specifically for those who want to save at a premium rate and have funds readily available.

All it takes is:

  • A minimum deposit of $50,000 to open the account
  • A minimum balance of $50,000 any day of the cycle

You receive benefits including:

  • Interest calculated on a daily balance method.
  • Interest accrues on the business day you deposit noncash items (i.e.. - checks).
  • Interest compounded quarterly and credited to your account.

  • Monthly maintenance fee of $5 imposed every statement cycle if the balance falls below $50,000 any day of the cycle.
  • If the balance falls below $50,000 any day of the cycle, interest rate will convert back to that paid at the regular savings account rate.

Christmas Club Account
No need to rob Peter or borrow from Paul to pay Santa! With Douglass National Bank’s Christmas Club account your worries about funds for Christmas shopping will disappear. Save throughout the year, and you won’t have a humbug of a Christmas. The following are terms and conditions for our Christmas Club Accounts:

All it takes is:

  • You choose the type of club for your savings goal and receive a coupon book to make your payments easy.
  • Types and total funds saved at the end of the cycle:
    • $5 ($250);
    • $10 ($500);
    • $20 ($1,000); or
    • $50 ($2,500).
  • Christmas Club Account cycle: 50 weeks, starting the first week in November.
  • Payments can be made by cash, check, savings withdrawal or automatic transfer from your Douglass National Bank checking account.
  • Interest paid annually and is the same as the savings account rate.
  • The last week to make a deposit is the third week in October.
  • You will receive your Christmas Club check the last week in October.
  • No withdrawals are allowed, except in a case of emergency (approval by management.)
  • If you have more than one withdrawal, the account will be closed, and interest will be forfeited.
  • Account numbers assigned to you are permanent; new accounts do not need to be opened each year if you decide to maintain your Christmas Club account.

Financial Literacy Account— Youth Savings
From 0-17 year-olds, young people can watch their money grow, safe and sound at Douglass National Bank. The first $5.00 is deposited by Douglass National Bank.

All it takes is:

  • Child or adult attend a financial literacy class.
  • No minimum balance to open.
  • No minimum monthly balance to maintain.
  • Adult, over 21 years old, as a required signer.

  • Interest compounded and credited quarterly.
  • No monthly or quarterly service charges.

Douglass National Bank IRA

Through the Certificate of Deposit Account Registry ServicesSM (CDARSSM), Douglass can now place large deposits into smaller denomination CDs at multiple institutions. Funds greater than $100,000 and up to $20 million are federally insured through this service.
